Ted Mackall is a successful trial lawyer with over 22 years experience in Catastrophic Personal Injury and Complex Civil Litigation. Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mr. Mackall attended the University of Arkansas, earning an undergraduate degree in Public Administration. Following graduation, he worked for several years in local government and then with the United States Treasury Department before returning to the University of Arkansas to complete his law degree.
After graduation from law school in 1985, Mr. Mackall worked first with an insurance defense firm in East Arkansas and then later with a full service firm in Memphis, Tennessee where he became a partner in 1995. During those years representing primarily defendants, he handled a wide array of personal injury and commercial litigation. Always active in health care issues as a trial attorney, particularly medical malpractice, he also served on the Institutional Review Board of a large health care system for 10 years and contributed legal articles to local healthcare publications.
In 1999 Ted moved to North Carolina where he has continued his law practice, now exclusively representing plaintiffs in a variety of catastrophic personal injury, complex civil litigation, including class action litigation, and medical malpractice. Mr. Mackall joined the Law Offices of Wade E. Byrd, P.A. in 2006 where he represents plaintiffs in medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. He is licensed in all state courts in both Tennessee and North Carolina and has been admitted to practice in the Untied States District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee; the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina; the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Eighth Circuits and the United States Tax Court.
