State lawyers select officers from Triangle
Triangle - Triangle lawyers were tapped for positions when the
state's trial lawyers picked new officers over the weekend.
At the 32nd annual convention of the N.C. Academy of Trial
Lawyers, M. Gordon Widenhouse of Raleigh was named president-elect.
William S. Mills of Durham was selected as education vice president
and Elizabeth F. Kuniholm of Raleigh, public education vice
president. Burton Craige of Raleigh was named legal affairs vice
president.
Wade Byrd of Fayetteville was elected president of the state
organization.
Howard F. Twiggs of Raleigh spoke during the gathering.In July
Twiggs becomes president of the Association of Trial Lawyers of
America, the national group.
